Hair Serum
Hair serum is a finishing step, not a treatment — it is applied after washing and drying (or on damp hair before heat styling) to smooth the cuticle, cut frizz, and add shine, which is a different job from what a pre-wash oil does. A few drops worked through mid-length to ends, never the roots, is enough; more product just weighs hair down without adding benefit. Serum and pre-wash oil are not interchangeable or redundant — used together in that order (oil before washing, serum after), they cover both the internal hydration and the external smoothness side of hair health.
